Speaklio Terms of Use (EULA)

The end-user licence agreement and terms that govern your use of the Speaklio app.

Last updated August 9, 2026

Licence and scope of use

These Terms of Use are the end-user licence agreement between you and Idion for the Speaklio app. By downloading or using Speaklio, you accept them.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Speaklio for your own preparation and rehearsal. If you obtained Speaklio from the Apple App Store, this licence is limited to use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, and is subject to the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including any permitted family sharing. If you obtained Speaklio from Google Play, the equivalent Google Play terms apply.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute Speaklio, or copy, modify, decompile, or reverse engineer it except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits. Our Acceptable Use Policy describes further behaviour that is not allowed.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract to use Speaklio, and Speaklio is intended for working professionals. If you are using Speaklio on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing on its behalf and confirm you have the authority to do so.

Accounts

Speaklio supports anonymous-first sign-in, and some features require an account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized use.

Acceptable use

Your use of Speaklio is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which describes behavior that is not allowed on the platform.

Your content and recordings

The voice recordings, transcripts, and practice content you create through Speaklio remain yours. By using the app, you grant us the rights needed to process your recordings (which are not retained after analysis — see our Privacy Policy) and to store, process, and analyze the resulting transcripts and practice content, to provide Speaklio's features back to you — including sending your recordings to our AI model provider to generate feedback. We don't use it for any other purpose.

You are responsible for the content of what you say and record through Speaklio, and for not including confidential information you are not permitted to share.

Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Speaklio, you agree that we can use them to improve the app without any obligation to you. This doesn’t affect your rights over your own recordings or content, described above.

AI-generated coaching

Speaklio provides AI-generated scores, coaching feedback, and model answers. These are informational and provided to support your preparation — they are not a substitute for professional speaking, career, legal, medical, or psychological advice, and Speaklio does not guarantee any particular outcome. See our AI Policy for more detail.

Subscriptions and payment

Speaklio offers a free tier and a paid plan, Speaklio Pro. Paid subscriptions are billed through the app store or payments provider you purchase from, on the terms presented at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled, and you manage or cancel them through that store or provider.

Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable. Prices and plan features may change; where they do, changes apply to future billing periods and are shown before you are charged.

Intellectual property

Speaklio, including its software, scenarios, design, and branding, is the intellectual property of Idion or its licensors. These terms don't grant you any rights beyond the licence described above.

If a third party claims that Speaklio infringes their intellectual property rights, we — not Apple or Google — are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.

Availability

Speaklio is currently in beta and may not be continuously available. We aim to be clear about the app's current stage, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change as the product matures.

Service modifications

We may add, change, or remove features in Speaklio as the product evolves. Where a change materially affects how you use the app, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know.

Third-party terms

You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using Speaklio — for example, your app store’s terms of service and your wireless data plan. Those third parties are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms of Use to the extent they relate to their services, and may enforce them against you.

You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Termination

You may stop using Speaklio and delete your account at any time — see our Data Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access if these terms are violated.

Disclaimers

Speaklio is provided "as is." We don’t guarantee that the app, including its AI-generated scores and coaching, will be error-free, accurate, or produce any particular result in a real speaking situation. Speaklio is a rehearsal and preparation aid, not a guarantee of performance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Idion will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Speaklio.

Dispute resolution

We will try to resolve any dispute informally first — contact us using the details on our Contact page and give us a chance to address your concern before pursuing a formal claim. If a dispute cannot be resolved this way, it will be brought before the competent courts as described under Governing law below.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside, and you may also bring proceedings before the courts of that country.

Governing law

Speaklio is operated by Idion, based in Spain. These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict of law principles, and, subject to the consumer protections described under Dispute resolution above, the courts of Spain have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms.

Export compliance

You may not use Speaklio if you are located in, or a resident of, a country or region subject to a government embargo or sanctions restricting the use of software like Speaklio, or if you are on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

App store terms

If you downloaded Speaklio from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the following also applies. These terms are an agreement between you and Idion only, not with Apple or Google, and Apple and Google are not responsible for Speaklio or its content.

Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Speaklio. In the event Speaklio fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple or Google, and they may refund the purchase price, if any, but that is their only warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, or damages are our sole responsibility, not theirs.

Apple and Google are not responsible for addressing any claims relating to Speaklio, including product liability claims, claims that Speaklio fails to meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements, or claims under consumer protection law. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.

Maintenance and support for Speaklio is our sole responsibility. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide it, and questions should be sent to the support address below.
