Speaklio Account Deletion
How to permanently delete your Speaklio account under the GDPR right to erasure.
Last updated July 14, 2026
Your right to erasure
Under Article 17 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request the erasure of your personal data. This page explains how to permanently delete your entire Speaklio account — the app developed by Scriptia Labs — and everything associated with it, including your transcripts (raw audio is never retained — see our Privacy Policy). To delete only specific data instead, see our Data Deletion page.
How to request account deletion
The fastest way is directly in the app: open Settings and tap "Delete account." This immediately and permanently deletes your account and all associated data — it cannot be undone.
If you’re unable to use the app, email support@scriptiastories.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Speaklio account deletion request", and state that you want your account and all associated data erased.
Verifying your request
To protect your account, we only act on deletion requests we can verify. Please send your request from the email address registered to your Speaklio account. If we cannot confirm that the request comes from the account holder, we may ask for additional confirmation before proceeding.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, transcripts, practice sessions, scores, coaching conversations, progress history, preferences, and any other personal data linked to your account. Raw audio is never retained in the first place — see our Privacy Policy. Once deletion is complete, this data cannot be recovered.
What we may retain
We may retain a limited amount of information where the law requires it — for example, basic subscription and payment records required by the app store or tax rules — or where it is necessary for legitimate purposes such as security, fraud prevention, or resolving disputes. Any retained data is kept only for as long as the applicable legal retention period requires — typically no more than 90 days after your request, unless a specific legal obligation requires longer — and is not used for any other purpose.
Response timeline
We aim to complete verified account deletion requests within 30 days, and in any case within one month of receiving your request, as required by the GDPR. If your request is particularly complex, we may extend this by up to two further months and will let you know if that happens.
Your other rights
Beyond erasure, the GDPR also gives you the right to access, rectify, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@scriptiastories.com.
If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
